Shannon Jones is an American born language instructor with more than 10 years’ experience teaching in the United States and Spain. Shannon began teaching in the Spanish education system in 2009 and her experience includes students ranging from babies through adult age groups.
Through teaching Spanish at Legacy High School in Broomfield, Colorado, USA as well as English at Alfonso XII in Sal Lorenzo de El Escorial and at San Agustin-Los Negrales in Collado Villalba, Shannon gained experience teaching a wide range of students from different backgrounds and upbringings.
Shannon holds a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in History from Colorado State University (Fort Collins, Colorado, USA); a second undergraduate degree in History from the UDIMA – Universidad a Distancia de Madrid in Spain; as well as a Master’s degree in Secondary Education from the UNIR – La Universidad de Rioja. As a believer in continuing education, Shannon also holds certificates in Educational innovation in the area of English as a second language from the Universidad de Comillas as well as the Teaching Knowledge certificates from Cambridge English Language Assessment.
